Pairing a Card Reader
- iOS
- Android
- Make sure that you have Bluetooth turned on and enabled in your iOS device settings.
- Make sure that the BBPOS Card Reader is turned on (press and hold the power button until you see the flashing blue light).
- Open the Wayroo app.
- The best way to pair your card reader to the app for the first time is to create a test order.
- Go to Orders and start a new order by clicking on the ‘+’ icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Select “Guest” customer.
- Add at least one item to the order by clicking on ‘+ Add Items’, or by scanning an item’s barcode.
- Note: Scanning an item’s barcode will either identify and select an item from your existing inventory in the app, or it will add that item to your inventory.
- After adding at least one item to the order, make sure the “Ship Order” option is toggled OFF
- Click on “Review” at the bottom of the screen, which will then take you to the Order Review screen.
- Click “Pay” at the bottom of the screen.
- You will be given different payment method options. Click on the “Credit Card” option.
- You should now see a message saying “Searching for card reader”.
- You may be prompted to enter a passcode.
If you are prompted to enter a passcode, you can find this passcode on the bottom left of the back of your card reader. It will say “BT Pass Key” followed by a 6-digit code. Enter this 6-digit code to pair your card reader.
- Once your card reader is paired, you should see a box that shows the amount due to be paid and the options to either insert, tap or swipe. Since this is just a test order to pair your device, you may now close out of the order.
- The order will still show under your Open Orders tab; you may cancel it if you’d like.

Unpairing a Credit Card Reader
Before unpairing your card reader, first ensure your card reader is turned off by holding the power button until the power light turns off. Once complete, there are two ways to disconnect a bluetooth device from your mobile device:
- iOS
- Android
Go to iOS Settings > Bluetooth > Select the information icon next to the device > Forget This Device.
Go to Android Settings > Connected Devices > Select the gear icon next to the device > Forget Device.
Tip: If the first method is unsuccessful, set your mobile device to Airplane mode for a few moments. Once you take Airplane mode off, the device should be disconnected.
