How does the ProPay Prepaid MasterCard work?

Your ProPay Prepaid MasterCard can be used for purchases that do not exceed the available balance in your ProPay account where Debit MasterCard is accepted. This card allows you instant access to the funds from your business that are available.

Where can I use my Prepaid Card?

Generally, you can use the ProPay Prepaid MasterCard at locations where MasterCard Debit Cards are accepted. Your ProPay Prepaid MasterCard can be used for purchases that do not exceed the available balance in your ProPay account where Debit MasterCard is accepted. 

You can check this balance by logging into the Wayroo application and using the Main Menu to select ‘Manage Funds’ at the top of the screen is the  ‘Available Balance.’ As this is a Debit card, the card may not be used for an amount above your ProPay Payments Account ‘Available Balance.’ If a purchase is made above an amount above your ‘Available Balance,’ you will be responsible for the negative balance and any resulting fees.

You can use your ProPay Prepaid MasterCard at participating ATMs that accept MasterCard Debit Cards. The limit is $1,000 or the full amount in your ‘Account Balance’ per day, whichever is less. There may be additional fees for ATM transactions.

When can I not use my Prepaid Card?

Your Prepaid Card cannot be used for certain types of transactions. Examples:

  • Pay at the pump gasoline
  • Reserving or placing items on hold
  • Gambling or Casinos (In-person or Internet)
  • Cashback outside of an ATM
  • Other types of Transactions that are not listed may be limited

What are the limits on my Prepaid Card?

Your ProPay Prepaid MasterCard can be used for purchases and electronic withdrawals that do not exceed the available balance in your ProPay account where Debit MasterCard is accepted. 

For other limits, log into your Wayroo application and use the Main Menu to navigate to the ‘Reports’ Screen, then select ‘Limits, Rates, and Fees’ to view applied fees and limits. Select the ‘Funding’ tab to see the current duration for processing. 

What is a temporary MasterCard authorization?

A temporary authorization transaction is a place of business requesting confirmation of adequate funds for the transaction on your ProPay Prepaid MasterCard. 

What should I do if I lose my card?

Report your missing card immediately by logging into your Wayroo application and use the Main Menu to navigate to the ‘Settings’ Screen, then select ‘ProPay Card’ to view options related to managing your ProPay Card. Select ‘Report Lost or Stolen Card’. This will guide you through the steps necessary to report your card lost or stolen. 

The sooner the card is reported the better. Authorized use of your card means use by yourself or anyone to whom you give actual, implied, or apparent authority

What fees could I be charged while using my card?

Log into your Wayroo application and use the Main Menu to navigate to the ‘Reports’ Screen, then select ‘Limits, Rates, and Fees’ to view applied fees and limits. Select the ‘Fees’ tab to see the current fees for ProPay Prepaid Cards. ATM transactions may also be subject to third-party fees.
